FUR Conference 2018 York and Accommodation

York and Accommodation

York

York has just been named by the Sunday Times as the ‘best place to live’ in Britain. It is also a beautiful tourist city, with many sites to distract you from attending the conference! These include York Minster, the National Railway Museum (where we will be having our Gala Dinner), the Jorvik Viking Centre and many more. We recommend that you start by checking out the official agency Visit York. On that site there is also information about accommodation.

Accommodation

We should point out that York is very much a tourist city. So accommodation needs to be booked soon. The Visit York site is a good place to start. Accommodation can also be booked through our registration agency Mosaic, though you will need to register first. Mosaic has made deals with many hotels, blocking out rooms for the use of Conference participants. I have just heard that Mosaic has agreements with the Travelodge, StayCity, the Hilton, Hotel 53 and the Park Inn to hold rooms for conference participants until the 10th of May 2018.

Hotel Prices of Rooms that have been block-booked by Mosaic can be found here.
